Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery
Expert in Gynaecology & Endometriosis
Dr. Meyer completed a three-year fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery is performed using laparoscopic or robotic surgical instruments. Both approaches allow minimal scars and safe and quick recovery and are associated with low risk of complications.
The fellowship focuses on complex gynecologic surgery and includes hundreds of surgeries. The main conditions treated are endometriosis, with extensive surgical management of deeply infiltrating endometriosis; complex myomectomy, including multiple, large uterine fibroids; complex hysterectomy, including large uteri and severe pelvic adhesions; and hysteroscopic surgery, including hysteroscopic removal of fibroids, septa, polyps and adhesions.
